It reduces the ControlLogix I/O data area used for processor-to-module transfers, which is useful in local and especially remote-rack architectures.
Yes. Each application port can be configured as a DF1 Master or Slave with its own serial parameters.
The application ports support RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485; jumper settings must match the required wiring interface.
The module supports user-defined memory usage for storage and transfer of up to 5000 registers, with read/write command lengths up to 125 words.
Verify available rack power, slot assignment, processor firmware/sample ladder compatibility, port jumpers, cabling and all DF1 settings.
