HIMA F1101 Overview
The HIMA F1101 is a New Value/First Value Annunciator Module used for alarm display in industrial control systems. When a new fault or status change occurs in the field, it can drive indicator lights and audible and visual alarms to identify and manage new alarms and first alarms.
Operating Principle
The F1101 operates on the NC/NO principle (Ruhe-/Arbeitsprinzip, normally closed/normally open principle), suitable for mechanical contact inputs, and can achieve:
l New Value Annunciation
l First Value Annunciation
l In conjunction with the central alarm module, it enables flashing and audible alarms
l After alarm confirmation, the indicator light changes from flashing to solid or slow flashing
l The indicator light automatically turns off after the fault is cleared.

Modules of the HIMA Planar System F
Basis of the modules are printed circuit boards according to DIN IEC 326 (160 ´ 100 mm), made from glassfibre reinforced epoxy resin. In order to protect them against aggressive atmosphere the tracks are tin-plated or coated with a solder resist lacquer.

Function Description
Visual and acoustic alarms (lamps and alarm horn/loudspeaker) are activated when the normal operating state is disturbed.
New value annunciation: Each new incoming signal causes the assigned lamp to flash and reactivates the acoustic alarm.
After the acknowledgement key is pressed, the flashing lamp changes to a steady light or continues flashing at a lower frequency, depending on the module type.
When the malfunction is removed, the lamp is extinguished.
First value annunciation: The first signal in a group is indicated by a flashing lamp, while subsequent signals are indicated by steady or slowly flashing lamps. After acknowledgement, the first-value indication is reactivated.
System Characteristics
The HIMA F4204 is part of the HIMA Planar-System F, a modular electronic control platform developed for process automation and safety applications. The system features:
l 24 V DC operating voltage
l Modular Eurocard design
l High-reliability electronic components
l Typical Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of approximately 200 years
l Safety-related modules designed to ensure outputs automatically transition to a de-energized safe state in the event of internal faults.
