The 21000 housing family is used where a proximity probe needs controlled mechanical positioning and protection around a rotating-machinery measurement point. This particular configuration uses a reverse-mounted probe arrangement.

When the housing, sealing arrangement or probe position is compromised, the associated monitoring channel may become unreliable. For critical machinery, that can delay diagnosis of vibration or position changes and increase the maintenance time needed before the equipment can return to normal protected operation.
