3300 NSv Proximity Probe

The Bently Nevada 330910 family belongs to the 3300 NSv proximity probe platform, developed for machinery locations where conventional 5 mm and 8 mm proximity arrangements may be restricted by counterbore, side-view, rear-view, or small-target conditions. The NSv design combines compact installation characteristics with eddy-current displacement measurement for rotating machinery.

Compact NSv Geometry

The NSv platform is intended for installations where restricted counterbore, side-view, rear-view, or target dimensions make standard 3300 and 3300 XL 5 mm or 8 mm systems less suitable.

M10X1 Armored Construction

The 330910 configuration uses an M10X1 probe thread and armored construction, providing a practical mechanical format for demanding rotating-equipment installations.

Chemical Resistance

Compared with the earlier 3300 RAM probe, the 3300 NSv probe has increased chemical resistance, supporting its use in many process compressor applications.

Stable Eddy-Current Measurement

TARGET GEOMETRY
Small-target performance

The NSv system is designed for applications involving smaller targets. The minimum flat-target diameter is 8.9 mm, with 13 mm recommended. For shaft measurements, a standard X-Y arrangement has a minimum shaft diameter of 30 mm; an X-Y arrangement with probes offset axially by 23 mm can accommodate a 20 mm minimum shaft diameter.

 
INSTALLATION CONTROL
Gap, wiring & cross-talk

The recommended gap is 1.0 mm. Field wiring may use 0.2–1.5 mm² conductors, with three-conductor shielded triad cable recommended. Maximum field wiring between the Proximitor Sensor and monitor is 305 m. When small shaft diameters require closely spaced probes, the specified minimum probe-tip separation should be maintained to reduce cross-talk.

3300 NSv Series Architecture

The 330910 configuration is part of the 3300 NSv probe family. The family provides multiple thread, armor, cable-length, and connector configurations so that the sensing element can be matched to installation geometry. The complete 3300 XL NSv transducer system combines a 3300 NSv probe, a 3300 NSv extension cable, and a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor.
