NON-CONTACT MACHINERY MEASUREMENT
Rotating Equipment
The proximity measurement principle is suited to machinery where shaft movement must be observed without physical contact. Typical monitoring applications include radial vibration and shaft-position measurements on rotating machinery.
Machinery Protection
When connected to the appropriate 7200-series electronics and monitoring chain, the probe provides the physical sensing element required to convert changes in probe-to-target gap into an electrical measurement used for machinery condition assessment.
Installation-Related Risk
Incorrect probe positioning, unsuitable mechanical clearance, damaged cable routing or an inappropriate mounting configuration can produce unstable or misleading measurements. The probe should therefore be installed with correct mechanical alignment and gap.
Signal-Chain Risk
