A long-reach configuration within the 3300 XL 8 mm proximity platform
The 3300 XL 8 mm proximity system uses eddy-current measurement to sense the distance between the probe tip and a conductive target. The resulting output is proportional to target distance, allowing the system to measure both static position and dynamic vibration. The platform is intended for applications such as vibration and position measurement on fluid-film bearing machinery, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurement.
The 330101 family uses a standard forward-mount configuration with a 3/8-24 UNF probe case thread and an 8 mm probe tip. The selected 330101-00-60-90-01-05 configuration combines a 6.0-inch case length with a 9.0-meter total probe length and the protected standard-cable connector arrangement.

Extended installation reach without changing the 8 mm sensing concept.
The 9-meter configuration is part of the standard 3300 XL 8 mm length architecture. It is intended for installations where the probe and associated routing require the longer total electrical length.
INSTALLATION DETAIL
Maintain the specified minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in). Excessive probe-thread engagement can cause binding during installation.

Shaft vibration
Dynamic displacement can be monitored without physical contact between the probe and the rotating shaft.

Can 330101-00-60-90-01-05 replace a shorter 330101 configuration?
It should not be treated as an automatic drop-in replacement solely because both parts belong to the 330101 family. The 9.0-meter total probe length and 6.0-inch case length must match the available mounting geometry, routing distance and associated Proximitor Sensor system length.
Why does 330101-00-60-90-01-05 have the -01 connector option?
The -01 option specifies a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with connector protector and standard cable. The connector-protector configuration is intended to provide additional environmental protection at the connector interface.
Is 330101-00-60-90-01-05 suitable when the installation requires a metric thread?
No. This exact part uses a 3/8-24 UNF probe case thread. The 330103 and 330104 family variants use M10 x 1 threads and should be considered when the machine mounting arrangement requires the metric configuration.
