An in-rack flow computer that brings hydrocarbon gas and liquid measurement, calculation and Modbus connectivity into a 1771 PLC chassis.
The PROSOFT MVI71-AFC is a single-slot, 1771 backplane-compatible Liquid & Gas Flow Computer Module. It supports eight meter channels for hydrocarbon gas or liquid measurement. Process values from rack-mounted analog and pulse/frequency I/O are transferred by the PLC processor to the module; the MVI71-AFC calculates flow rate and accumulated quantities, then returns results to processor memory for ladder logic or SCADA use.

The MVI71-AFC is a single-slot liquid and gas flow computer for the PLC-5 / 1771 platform, providing eight configurable meter channels.
It accepts process values transferred from rack analog modules and pulse/frequency input modules. Channels may be configured for linear pulse or differential measurement.
The processor and module exchange configuration, input and calculated result data through BTR/BTW backplane transfers controlled by ladder logic.
Yes. Its Modbus communications can make calculated and configured data available to a SCADA host or other compatible device.
