It executes configured control strategies, exchanges data over Fault Tolerant Ethernet and coordinates Series C or Series 8 I/O through the installed controller and I/O infrastructure. 8C-PCNT01 is the execution element of a C300 control node. It runs control strategies and communicates with supervisory and I/O networks; it is not an I/O termination assembly. Availability, loading and switchover behavior depend on the complete controller pair, carrier, power, firmware and project configuration.
