The Foxboro P0926GV is the FBM231 four-port Field Device System Integrator module for Foxboro process automation systems. It provides serial connectivity between field devices and the control system while supporting redundant FBM operation.

Each communication port can be configured independently for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485, allowing one module to interface with different device types and serial architectures.

Architecture & Function

P0926GV belongs to the FBM231 family of Field Device System Integrator modules. In a redundant configuration, two FBM231 modules operate as a pair: one serves as the Master and the other as the Tracker.

The system can automatically switch module roles when the I/O driver detects an actual problem, while manual role switching is also available through SMDH.

The module collects field-device data, performs required data conversion through the loaded driver, and makes the resulting data available to Foxboro control-station functions and operator displays.
