The 1746sc-CTR4 is a flow meter/counter module from Spectrum Controls. It is compatible with Allen-Bradley's Smart Logic Controller (SLC) platform. The module accommodates four (4) quadrature encoder inputs and four (4) external counter enable inputs, accepting input voltage signals from 50mV to 75VAC peak, 5Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc, and a maximum AC input frequency of 50kHz and a maximum DC input frequency of 50kHz. The 1746sc-CTR4 features configurable input filters, such as digital filters at 50kHz and 30kHz, and an analog filter at 15kHz. The module's counting mode accuracy is +/- 1 count. The module has an instantaneous rate accuracy of +/- 1% (50 kHz) and 0.001% (1 Hz), and an average rate accuracy of -f (1 kHz). Its maximum counting range is: low range -32,768 to +32,767, high range -8,388,608 to +8,388,607. The module has built-in fault detection functions, such as over-range and under-range status bits in all operating modes.
