This unit forms the redundant processing core of a ProSafe-RS safety control station. It stores and executes the safety application, communicates through dual Vnet/IP paths and connects N-IO nodes or safety node units through the appropriate bus couplers. Up to eight FIO modules can be installed in the unit, subject to slot and bus-interface restrictions. |
