The SIMATIC ET 200SP Open Controller combines PC functions and deterministic S7-1500 control in the compact ET 200SP format. This order number is supplied with the CPU 1515SP PC2 base device, 8 GB RAM, a 128 GB CFast card, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2019 64-bit and the CPU 1505SP software controller.

A dedicated connection accepts an ET 200SP PROFINET BusAdapter, allowing the controller to become the head of a distributed station while retaining the modular ET 200SP footprint.

Its separate 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet interface supports PC-side communication. Two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort support service peripherals, storage, engineering access and an external display.

The hardware provides one CFast slot and one SD/MMC slot. Control and Windows workloads share one physical platform but remain functionally structured around the preinstalled S7-1500 software controller.
