PCLA · CORE ANALOG
IS220PCLAH1AThe IS220PCLAH1A is a Mark VIe PCLA Core Analog I/O Pack designed for aero-derivative gas turbine control applications. It provides the processing and network interface between the Mark VIe I/O network and the associated core analog terminal-board assembly, supporting thermocouple, RTD, voltage and 4–20 mA signal functions.
01 / PROCESSING
BCLA + Processor ArchitectureThe PCLA assembly combines the BCLA acquisition board with its processor board. The BCLA handles analog acquisition and signal conditioning while the processor section provides the distributed I/O processing layer. |
02 / NETWORK
Dual Ethernet InterfaceTwo RJ-45 Ethernet interfaces connect the PCLA to one or two Mark VIe I/O networks. This network-facing arrangement allows the module to participate in simplex or redundant control architectures. |
03 / FIELD SIDE
SCLS / SCLT InterfaceThe PCLA works with the SCLS and SCLT core analog terminal-board arrangement. These boards provide the physical field connections and signal routing required by the PCLA acquisition system. |

PROCESSING NODE
IS220PCLAH1AThe PCLAH1A is the I/O Pack at the processing and network layer. Its assembly uses a BPPB processor board with the BCLA acquisition board. |
TERMINAL LAYER
SCLS + SCLTIS200SCLSH1A provides the core simplex analog terminal interface, while IS200SCLTH1A can provide additional I/O and signal fanning for redundant arrangements. |
CONTROL NETWORK
Mark VIe I/O NetworkDual Ethernet ports allow the PCLA to interface with one or two Ethernet I/O networks according to the control-system architecture. |
PCLAH1A
BPPB Processor ConfigurationIS220PCLAH1A belongs to the PCLA family using the BPPB processor configuration. This is the configuration associated with the H1A variant. |
PCLAH1B
BPPC Processor ConfigurationThe PCLAH1B uses a functionally compatible BPPC processor board and is associated with ControlST software suite V04.03 and higher. For replacement planning, the exact processor variant and existing control environment should therefore be checked before ordering. |
REPLACEMENT FOCUS
What Matters When Matching IS220PCLAH1AFor a replacement request, the part number alone should not be the only checkpoint. The terminal-board arrangement, processor variant, network topology and control-system configuration can affect interchangeability. |

Q1 · Can IS220PCLAH1A replace another PCLA module without checking the processor variant?
Not automatically. IS220PCLAH1A is the PCLAH1A configuration with a BPPB processor board, while PCLAH1B uses a functionally compatible BPPC processor board. The processor variant should therefore be matched with the existing Mark VIe control environment before a replacement is selected.
Q2 · Does IS220PCLAH1A require an SCLS terminal board for a simplex analog installation?
The PCLA architecture uses the associated core analog terminal-board arrangement. IS200SCLSH1A serves as the simplex terminal board and provides the field termination and routing associated with the PCLA acquisition system. The actual installed configuration should be matched to the existing cabinet arrangement rather than assuming a universal terminal-board combination.
Q3 · Can IS220PCLAH1A be used when the control system has redundant I/O networks?
Yes, the PCLA has two RJ-45 Ethernet interfaces and supports architectures using one or two Ethernet I/O networks. The correct network connection depends on the installed Mark VIe topology and the associated SCLT routing arrangement.
Q4 · Is IS220PCLAH1A suitable when the replacement must retain thermocouple and RTD measurement functions?
Yes. The PCLA core analog architecture supports thermocouple and RTD inputs in addition to voltage and 4–20 mA analog functions. The SCLS terminal arrangement includes eight thermocouple inputs and eight RTD inputs, making the PCLA family suitable for applications where these measurement types are part of the existing field configuration.
Q5 · What should be checked before ordering IS220PCLAH1A for a TMR Mark VIe application?
Confirm the exact PCLAH1A part number, the SCLT terminal-board arrangement, the number of connected PCLA modules and the Ethernet network topology. SCLT can provide signal fanning for one or three connected PCLA modules in the applicable redundant architecture, so the installed system arrangement matters when selecting a replacement.
