Main-control to bridge-personality coordination in Innovation Series drives
IS200BICLH1B is an IGBT Drive/Source Bridge Interface Board for compatible GE Innovation Series drive assemblies. It forms the control interface between the drive main-control board and a supported bridge-personality board such as BPIA, BPIB or SCNV. Its programmable logic is configured by the main-control CPU during power-up or a hard reset.
Bridge-command path The BICL transfers bridge-control and status signals between the main-control layer and the selected bridge-personality interface. It does not operate as a stand-alone gate driver.
Programmable logic The onboard EPLD receives its operating configuration from the main-control CPU at power-up or after a hard reset. The loaded personality must match BPIA/BPIB or SCNV hardware.
Backplane relationship P1 and P2 connect the board to the control-assembly backplane. Proper seating and the assigned rack position are essential because bridge commands and protective states cross this path.
Contactor and fault handling The interface participates in contactor-control, bridge-fault and status relationships implemented by the supported drive assembly. These paths must be validated before enabling the bridge.
Thermal support The BICL participates in cabinet or bridge thermal coordination, including ambient sensing and variable fan-speed functions where implemented by the drive design.
No live adjustment The board has no routine user-adjustable hardware, test points or field-replaceable fuses. Do not insert, remove or disturb board connections while control power is present.
