GE IC693MDL655H 32-point discrete DC input module

IC693MDL655H is a 32-point discrete DC input module for the Series 90-30 PLC. Its four groups of eight inputs support positive or negative logic and provide optical isolation between the field side and PLC logic side.

The module accepts 0–30 VDC field signals, with defined ON and OFF thresholds that make it suitable for industrial switches, sensors, contacts and other compatible discrete field devices.

The module contains four groups of eight inputs. Each group has a shared common, allowing field circuits to be organized into separate wiring groups while maintaining a compact I/O footprint.

IC693MDL655H supports either positive or negative logic arrangements. The input voltage range is 0–30 VDC, with ON-state voltage from 11.5 to 30 VDC and OFF-state voltage from 0 to 5 VDC.

Typical ON current is 7.0 mA at 24 VDC. Minimum ON-state current is 3.2 mA and maximum OFF-state current is 1.1 mA. Maximum ON and OFF response times are both 2 ms.

Optical coupling provides 1500 V isolation between field and logic sides, while the input groups have 250 V isolation between groups. Individual point LEDs provide direct ON/OFF indication.

Switches, contacts and compatible discrete sensors provide the field-side ON/OFF states.

Accepts 32 discrete DC inputs and transfers their states through the Series 90-30 backplane.

The CPU uses the incoming states as control conditions, interlocks, status signals and process inputs.
