Designed Around Grouped AC Input Monitoring
The IC670MDL240 is a discrete input module for GE Field Control installations where 16 AC input points share a common group arrangement. The module accepts 120 VAC field signals and transfers the resulting input state data through the Bus Interface Unit. Each input has an individual LED indicator, allowing the channel state to be checked directly at the module. Input filtering and optoisolation are incorporated into the signal path. |

A channel remains OFF when the field circuit should be active. Check the external AC circuit, field wiring and the corresponding input point. |

Can IC670MDL240 handle a 120 VAC field circuit directly?
Yes. It is rated for 120 VAC input operation, with an input voltage range of 0–132 VAC at 47–63 Hz.

What should be checked when one channel stays OFF?
Verify the field voltage and wiring first, then compare the channel LED with the expected input state. The module's ON-state range is 70–120 VAC.

Does IC670MDL240 provide isolation between every input point?
No. The module uses a grouped input arrangement. Isolation is provided from user input to logic, user input to frame ground and group-to-group, but individual points within a group are not isolated from each other.

How quickly does the module respond to a changing input?
The ON response is 12 ms typical and 20 ms maximum. The OFF response is 25 ms typical and 40 ms maximum.

The maximum current drawn from the Bus Interface Unit power supply is 77 mA.
