Output Configuration
Each output point can provide current or voltage source operation. The current ranges are 4–20 mA and 0–20 mA, while the voltage ranges are 0–10 V and 0–12.5 V.

Which output ranges can be configured on the IC670ALG320?
The module supports 4–20 mA and 0–10 V as standard output ranges. With the appropriate jumper configuration at the I/O terminal block, the current range can be changed to 0–20 mA and the voltage range to 0–12.5 V.

How does the 0–20 mA configuration differ from the 4–20 mA configuration?
The 0–20 mA range uses a jumper between JMP and RET on the I/O terminal block. The 4–20 mA range has a fixed 4 mA offset, meaning the signal begins at 4 mA rather than 0 mA.

What power conditions should be checked before replacing this module?
The module uses a nominal 24 VDC supply and operates across 20–29 VDC with a maximum 5% ripple. Power availability should be checked for both the field circuit and backplane conditions before troubleshooting the analog output.

Why can an apparently correct analog command still produce an unexpected field signal?
The configured output range, scaling and terminal-block jumper arrangement all need to correspond to the intended signal. A mismatch between the configured range and the physical jumper arrangement can result in an output that does not correspond to the expected engineering value.

What should be checked when a Field Control analog output is missing during operation?
Check the module supply, field-loop power, terminal connections, selected output range and the jumper arrangement first. The module provides an LED indication for field and backplane power, which can help distinguish a power condition from a signal-configuration issue. If the affected channel remains unavailable after these checks, replacement of the module may be appropriate when continued operation depends on that analog output.
