Receive output values
The Field Control station transfers analog output words to the module through the BIU.

IC670ALG310 converts output commands from a Field Control Bus Interface Unit into accurate analog control voltages. Its eight single-ended channels are arranged in two isolated groups of four and can be scaled independently for connected industrial equipment.
The module receives engineering-unit output values from the Bus Interface Unit, applies calibration and configured scaling, and converts each commanded value into the required voltage.
The Field Control station transfers analog output words to the module through the BIU.
Each channel uses its configured range, span and engineering values to calculate the required output.
Eight outputs deliver analog voltage commands across two isolated groups of four channels.
Channel-level scaling, diagnostic status and configurable fail behavior support accurate analog control and practical fault handling.

IC670ALG310 is used where a Field Control station must send analog voltage commands to field equipment. Typical destinations include drive speed commands, valve-position commands, actuator demand signals and other 0-10 V or -10 to +10 V control inputs.
A channel stays at zero, freezes at its previous value or no longer follows the commanded process value.
The status indicator flashes or turns off, or the controller receives power, calibration or under/overrange alarms.
Loss of the analog command can stop a regulated process, hold equipment at its previous demand or move an actuator toward an undesired state.
