A Remote I/O Node on PROFINET
The IC200PNS001-AC connects a VersaMax remote I/O station to a PROFINET IO controller. It scans the station's modules, collects input data, transfers output data and manages communication between the controller and the remote node. The AC revision corresponds to firmware release 2.00, which adds support for hot-standby CPU redundancy through PROFINET I/O. The system must use compatible controller hardware, firmware and engineering software for this feature. ENGINEERING CHECK
Verify the PROFINET controller, firmware versions, I/O module mix, power-supply compatibility, network topology and configured I/O sizes before ordering or commissioning.

The USB connector is intended for firmware updates, not permanent connection. The PNS module manages the configured I/O state if network communication is lost.
