The GE Fanuc VersaMax IC200MDL744 is a discrete output module designed for control architectures requiring 32 digital output points. The module provides two independently grouped sets of 16 negative-logic, sinking outputs. An external DC supply powers the field loads, while the CPU or Network Interface Unit provides the output data to the module.

IC200MDL744 is suited to VersaMax control architectures where multiple discrete DC loads need to be switched from a 32-point output module. Typical loads can include contactors, indicator lamps and interposing relays, subject to the electrical characteristics of the connected load.
For inductive loads, external suppression should be considered. The output stage does not contain internal fuses, so external circuit protection and appropriate load protection should be evaluated as part of the installation.
During replacement, verify the negative/sinking output logic, field-voltage mode, carrier arrangement, two-group wiring and load current before installing another module. A visually similar 32-point module is not automatically a direct electrical substitute.
