The RH924WA is the fiber-optic network adapter used with the Foxboro FCP280 Field Control Processor. It mounts on the FCP280 baseplate and provides the fiber connection between the controller assembly and The Mesh control network. The adapter receives its power from the baseplate rather than using a separate field power connection.

RH924WA is not the FCP280 processor itself. It is the fiber network adapter mounted with the FCP280 baseplate and used to connect the processor assembly to the Ethernet control network.

The FCP280 architecture uses a pair of network adapters for controller connections to The Mesh control network. In a fiber-based arrangement, RH924WA provides the optical interface while the FCP280 performs the process-control functions.
