The KJ3201X1-BA2 brings field contact states into the DeltaV control environment. It is intended for 24 V DC dry-contact input service and combines channel sensing, carrier communication and module diagnostics in a keyed Series 2 I/O assembly.

Five Checks Before You Commit

01 - Does KJ3201X1-BA2 require external field power?

The card uses 12 V DC local-bus power and requires the specified 24 V DC field-power arrangement. Confirm whether field power is bussed through the carrier or applied at the field terminal before ordering.

02 - Can KJ3201X1-BA2 replace a visually similar DeltaV card?

No. The complete part number, input behavior, Series 2 compatibility and B1 terminal-block keying must match; appearance alone is not a valid substitution check.

03 - Can KJ3201X1-BA2 be inserted while energized?

No. System and applicable field power must be removed before insertion or removal, including non-sparking field circuits in hazardous locations.

04 - Does KJ3201X1-BA2 need calibration?

No routine calibration is required. Commissioning should instead verify wiring, field voltage, channel state and DeltaV diagnostics.

05 - What should arrive with a KJ3201X1-BA2 replacement order?

Confirm whether the requirement is for the card only or for a complete assembly with the correct carrier-side terminal hardware. The module and terminal block are not interchangeable by appearance.
