Descripution
The Allen Bradley 1771-NOV is a High-resolution Isolated Analog Module. With an output resolution of 1.32 milliVolts/bit, this module gives 1000 Volt isolation between channels. The channel to channel isolation of this module provides the connection of various resources to the same module without creating ground loops or damaging components due to excessive voltage differences between channels. This module has calibration interval of one year. The 1771-NOV has open input and open loop detection features; it easily detects open thermocouples, RTDs, voltage inputs, or current loops. Additionally, the 1771-NOV is equipped with simplified calibration features.
The output range of this module is +10.4 Volts into an open circuit, the output impedance is 1 Ω, and the output overvoltage protection is 140 Volts AC RMS continuous. It has an Offset drift of ±400 µA/degree Celsius, and its Gain drift is limited to ±50 ppm/degree Celsius. The Calibration value of this module is 0.0/10.0 Volts DC; its minimum Ramping value (at 1% FSR) is 0.2 Volts per second, while it's maximum (at 200% FSR) is 40 Volts per second. The maximum update time is 25 milliseconds. The 1771-NOV also follows Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards, having passed EN 50081-2 EMC - Generic Emission Standard, Part 2 - Industrial Environment, and EN 50082-2 EMC – Generic Immunity Standard, Part 2 - Industrial Environment.
Connecting or disconnecting the cable while power is being applied to this module (or any device on the network) can result in an electrical arc and damage to machine parts.
