Engineering Profile
The 1747-SN provides the SLC processor with a dedicated Remote I/O scanner interface. It occupies an SLC chassis slot and exchanges I/O data with devices on the Remote I/O link.
Extended-node operation supports 3,048 m at 57.6 Kbaud, 1,524 m at 115.2 Kbaud, or 762 m at 230.4 Kbaud. The selection of baud rate therefore directly affects the maximum supported cable distance.

The 1747-SN is the scanner-side device. The 1747-ASB is the remote adapter, while the 1747-BSN is the backup scanner. An SLC 5/02 or greater processor is required for an SLC Remote I/O scanner application.
