Descripution
The 1746-OBP16 is a Sixteen (16) channel Discrete Output module from the SLC 500 product family. It provides 24VDC output with integrated fuse for short-circuit protection. |
This module occupies single slot of an SLC 500 chassis. It is compatible with fixed or modular style hardware. |
The 1746-OB32 features an integrated fuse that protects the module from channel short-circuit and overload current. The E-FEUSE LED that is provided in the front panel of the module will illuminate to indicate presence of such condition. Other channels will continue to operate as the electronic protection are individual for each channel. |
It is considered a channel shutdown when the error has been detected. To allow the channel to recover from the fault condition, the SLC 500 system power must be removed and the actual error must be corrected. Once the actual source of error has been corrected, the system power may be applied, and the module automatically reset and resumes providing control output. This automatic fault recovery must be taken into consideration as part of the system’s fail-safe operating conditions. |
Compatible replacement fuse for the integrated electronic fuse are Littelfuse #322010,10A or #332010,10A. This fuse component is to maintain UL/CSA rating. Allen-Bradley’s fuse catalog number is 1746-F8 which is comprised of Five (5) fuse per kit. This fuse may be easily replaced however, it requires pulling out of module from the chassis. |
