ANT401-50

The ANT401-50 operates as the master side of a Yokogawa Optical ESB Bus Repeater arrangement. It converts ESB bus communication into an optical signal and works with an ANT502 slave module to extend ESB bus transmission to up to 5 km over optical fiber.

Used on the master side of the 5 km optical ESB repeater arrangement.

Receives the optical ESB path as the slave module in the corresponding 5 km arrangement.

The ANT411/ANT512 family is intended for optical ESB extension from 5 km to 50 km, making it the different-distance choice when a longer optical path is required.

ANT401-50 is the master repeater module. ANT502-50 is the slave repeater module. They are complementary positions in the 5 km optical ESB repeater arrangement rather than interchangeable choices.

The 5 km extension is achieved by the compatible master/slave repeater arrangement with optical fiber. ANT401-50 provides the master side; the remote slave side is required for the complete repeater path.

The /CU1T option provides the ESB bus connector with terminator. The /CU1N option provides the ESB bus connector without the integrated terminator.

Depending on the system configuration, ANT401 can be installed in AFV30□/AFV40□ Field Control Units, ANB10□/ANB11□ node units, and the ANT10U optical repeater unit.

For the standard 5 km repeater arrangement, ANT401/ANT502 are the relevant pair. Yokogawa also provides the ANT411/ANT512 family for optical ESB extension from 5 km to 50 km, so a longer-distance requirement should be evaluated against that family.
