A digital output module built around density, isolation and flexible output functions.
The ADV551-P60 is a 32-channel, 24 V DC isolated digital output module for Yokogawa FIO architecture. The -P configuration adds pulse-width and time-proportioning output functions, while -6 provides status display without explosion protection. The -0 suffix denotes the basic type.

FIO digital output module Suitable for single or dual-redundant architecture
A 32-Point Output Platform With More Than One Output Mode
The ADV551-P60 belongs to the Yokogawa FIO digital output family and provides 32 isolated output channels at a rated applied voltage of 24 V DC. Its output format is current sink, with a maximum load current of 100 mA per channel at 26.4 V.
The important distinction of the “P” suffix
The -P configuration is not simply a cosmetic variant. It provides one-shot pulse-width output and time-proportioning ON/OFF output, allowing the module to support output functions beyond ordinary ON/OFF status control.
FUNCTION MAP
SO
Status output / ordinary ON-OFF output
PW
Pulse-width output
TP
Time-proportioning ON/OFF output
The module supports channel-by-channel function assignment patterns subject to the specified terminal arrangement rules.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
What matters when selecting the module
◈ 32 Isolated Channels
High channel density is combined with isolated digital output architecture.
◌ 24 V DC Current Sink
Designed around a 24 V DC output environment with current-sink switching.
△ Pulse / Time Proportioning
The -P configuration supports pulse-width and time-proportioning ON/OFF output functions.
▣ Status Display
The “6” suffix specifies status display and no explosion protection.
◇ Dual-Redundant Capability
The ADV551 can be used in a dual-redundant configuration. When replacing a module in a redundant FIO architecture, the installed redundancy arrangement should therefore be checked together with the model and connection option.

OUTPUT ASSIGNMENT
One module, several output behaviors.
The ADV551 family allows channel functions to be assigned according to the supported point-mode patterns. This becomes particularly important when the module is being used for mixed status, pulse and time-proportioning functions.
SO
Status output — conventional ON/OFF output function
PW
Pulse-width output — one-shot pulse output
TP
Time-proportioning ON/OFF output
For PW output, two contiguous terminal numbers are used and the first must be odd-numbered. When PW and TP are used together, successive pairs of terminals follow the specified assignment pattern.

REPLACEMENT CONSIDERATIONS
Five checks before ordering ADV551-P60
01 MODEL
Confirm ADV551-P60 rather than a visually similar ADV551 suffix.
02 FUNCTION
Confirm the application needs pulse-width/time-proportioning output if the -P function is part of the installed configuration.
03 DISPLAY
The “6” suffix specifies the status-display version.
04 WIRING
Match the connection option and terminal arrangement used in the cabinet.
05 REDUNDANCY
If the module participates in a dual-redundant FIO configuration, replacement should preserve the required redundant architecture.
DIRECT SALES SUPPORT
Need an ADV551-P60 quotation?
Send the exact part number together with your quantity, destination and machine/system details.
Q1 · Is ADV551-P60 a direct choice when the existing system requires the status-display version?
Yes, the “6” suffix specifically identifies the version with status display and without explosion protection. However, the complete installed configuration should still be checked because the connection option, such as a pressure-clamp terminal or dedicated cable interface, is specified separately.
Q2 · Does ADV551-P60 support pulse-width output, or is it only a standard ON/OFF module?
The -P suffix adds both one-shot pulse-width output and time-proportioning ON/OFF output. The module also supports ordinary status output. For pulse-width operation, the specified terminal assignment rules must be followed.
Q3 · What should be checked before replacing an older ADV551 version with ADV551-P60?
Check more than the base model. Confirm whether the existing module uses the pulse/time-proportioning function, whether local status display is required, which connection option is installed, and whether the FIO architecture uses single or dual redundancy. A similar-looking ADV551 suffix can have materially different configuration characteristics.
Q4 · Can ADV551-P60 be substituted for ADV551-P63 when the cabinet operates in a wider temperature environment?
Not as a simple suffix substitution. ADV551-P63 includes the ISA Standard G3 and -20 to 70 °C option, whereas ADV551-P60 is the standard type with status display. If the installation specifically requires the G3 / wide-temperature option, the P60 and P63 configurations should not be treated as interchangeable.
Q5 · Which connection option should be confirmed when ordering ADV551-P60 for an existing FIO cabinet?
The connection must match the installed arrangement. The ADV551 family supports a KS cable interface adapter, pressure-clamp terminal options, dual pressure-clamp options and an MIL cable connector-cover option. For example, /D5A00 specifies the ATD5A-00 KS cable interface adapter, while /D5S10 specifies the ATD5S-10 pressure-clamp terminal with surge absorber. Therefore, the complete part number should be matched before replacement.
