Built Around a Fault-Tolerant Output Philosophy

The TRICONEX 3626X is a supervised digital output module for the Tricon CX platform. It provides 32 commoned 24 VDC output signals and uses a Triple Modular Redundant architecture to support high-availability safety control.

The output architecture combines redundant processing paths with voting and diagnostic functions so that output behavior can be monitored while the safety system continues its control role.

The module is intended for demanding industrial applications in which digital commands may be associated with shutdown, interlock, alarm or other safety-related field functions.

3506X — Supervised Digital Input

The 3506X provides supervised digital input capability within the Tricon CX architecture. It is used where discrete field conditions must be brought into the safety control system.

3626X — Supervised Digital Output

The 3626X performs the complementary output role, transmitting voted digital commands toward field actuators and safety-related devices.

Within Tricon CX, the combination of supervised input and output modules creates a dedicated I/O layer for safety control. The 3626X should therefore be evaluated together with the required Tricon CX chassis, controller architecture and compatible field termination arrangement rather than as a generic 24 VDC output card.

Where the Output Layer Matters

The 3626X is appropriate for safety-oriented digital output functions where the field command must remain under continuous diagnostic supervision. Typical roles include safety interlocks, shutdown commands, alarm actuation and other discrete field actions.
