The module belongs to the SIMATIC ET 200S distributed I/O family. In an existing ET 200S station, the electronic module works within the station architecture rather than functioning as a standalone controller.

01 Load-side supply Rated load voltage is 24 V DC and is supplied from the power module. Reverse-voltage protection is specified when the same load voltage is used at the power module.	02 Electrical separation The digital outputs are not individually potential-separated from one another, while the digital outputs are potential-separated from the backplane bus.
03 Fast output response With a resistive load, the maximum output delay is specified as 50 µs from “0” to “1” and 120 µs from “1” to “0”.	04 Isochronous operation Isochronous operation is supported, providing a defined operating mode for applications that require synchronized process timing.

Application orientation: the output stage is suitable for switching loads such as solenoid valves, DC contactors and indicator lights when the connected load remains within the specified electrical limits.
