Optional VT Channels: software-selectable 50 V – 36 kV range, ±0.25 % accuracy, saves extra module slots.
Enhanced Diagnostics: on-board CT-open, CT-short, wiring-fault and ADC-health checks; alarms via LCD & EnerVista UR before faults escalate.
Galvanic Isolation: 2 kV channel-to-ground, 1 kV channel-to-channel; eliminates ground loops in mixed AC/DC panels.
Wide-Range Temp: –40…+60 °C operation, –40…+80 °C storage, 0-95 % RH non-condensing; conformal-coated for coastal & desert substations.
Hot-Swappable: slide-in UR form-factor 133 × 75 × 25 mm, <200 g; auto-configured by CPU in <5 s, no re-calibration needed.

Application

Transformer differential & REF: 8 CT inputs provide high-side, low-side and neutral currents; internal 2nd-5th harmonic restraint blocks inrush, trips in 15 ms.
Feeder over-current & earth-fault: phase CTs plus dedicated ground CT detect 50/51/50N/51N faults; 4-20 mA output drives SCADA for remote alarm.
Busbar zone protection: multi-module setup samples up to 24 CTs; distributed GOOSE blocking achieves 2 ms bus differential on 132 kV GIS.
Generator management: CT cores measure stator current for loss-of-field, out-of-step and negative-sequence protection; VT inputs monitor bus voltage for 81/27/59 functions.
Capacitor-bank unbalance: star-point CT input detects internal unit failures, prevents tank rupture and costly oil clean-up in large utility banks.
