General Electric IC660ELB912G is a rugged Genius Bus Controller that couples any Series 90-70 PLC to GE’s high-speed Genius I/O network. Operating at 153.6 kbaud, the board manages up to 32 discrete or analog blocks on a single twisted-pair bus up to 2300 m, while built-in redundancy and automatic echo-check deliver fault-tolerant data exchange without additional switches. An on-board 9-pin RS-485 port provides a direct link for the IC660HHM501 handheld monitor, letting technicians view, force or re-configure any I/O point on the fly. The single-slot module draws 24 VDC from the PLC rack, survives 15 g shock and 2 g vibration on the plant floor, and is qualified for –40…+85 °C operating range. With IP20 front cover and CE/UL recognition, IC660ELB912G is the drop-in replacement that extends the life of legacy Genius installations while maintaining full compatibility with new VersaMax Genius blocks.
