03 / FIELD USE
When this output module becomes critical |
IC670MDL330 is used in GE Field Control stations where a host controller must switch groups of AC-powered field loads. Typical duties include contactor coils, pilot devices, annunciators and other compatible AC loads operating within the module’s electrical limits.
Loss of this module or its shared fuse can stop multiple AC loads at the same time, potentially interrupting a machine sequence or an entire process section. |

Shared slow-blow fuse
|
The shared 5 A fuse protects the complete module against excessive total current. It does not provide separate overcurrent protection for each output point. Replacement requires a 5 A, 5 × 20 mm slow-blow fuse.

Disconnect field power before fuse replacement or wiring work. Apply normal electrostatic-discharge precautions whenever the module is removed from its base.

| 04 | What does an unlit PWR LED indicate?It can indicate loss of appropriate module power or a blown shared output fuse. A blown-fuse diagnostic is also delivered to the Bus Interface Unit. |
| 05 | Does IC670MDL330 power the attached loads?No. The Bus Interface Unit powers the module electronics, but the field loads require a separate external AC supply. |
