IC670GBI001 serves as the Genius communication interface for a Field Control remote station. Together with the Field Control I/O modules connected to it, the station operates as a remote drop on the Genius bus.
The remote station can contain a mix of discrete and analog Field Control input and output modules. The BIU manages the operating exchange between those modules and the host system while supporting station-level diagnostics. A complete Field Control remote drop can exchange up to 128 bytes of input data and 128 bytes of output data. |
