IC660BBD024 is designed for 12/24 VDC discrete I/O applications where a higher circuit count is required. It interfaces with binary field devices including 2-wire and 3-wire electronic proximity switches, while outputs can operate low-power control and indicating devices such as relays, contactors and lamps.
A failed block can affect a large group of field points because 32 circuits share the same block architecture. In a production line or process machine, that can manifest as missing sensor states, unavailable actuator commands or repeated sequence interlocks, increasing the risk of extended downtime while the affected I/O section is being restored.
