GENIUS CURRENT-LOOP OUTPUT
IC660BBA105
115 VAC / 125 VDC six-channel analog output block for 4–20 mA current-loop applications.

TECHNICAL PROFILE
Six-channel analog command interface
The IC660BBA105 provides six independent analog output circuits for devices accepting 4–20 mA signals. Outputs support 0–24 mA overrange capacity and provide underrange, overrange and feedback-error diagnostics. |

FIELD APPLICATION
When analog commands cannot stop
The IC660BBA105 is appropriate where a Genius network must deliver multiple 4–20 mA control signals to field devices such as current-operated actuators and process-control equipment. Engineers commonly look for this model when an output channel becomes stuck, loses feedback, falls outside its expected range or when the existing block no longer maintains reliable analog control. |
|
| 01 — How does IC660BBA105 differ from IC660BBA104?
BBA105 is a six-output block, while BBA104 combines four inputs with two outputs. The replacement must match the actual field I/O architecture. |
02 — Is IC660BBA025 the same function with a different power requirement?
Yes. BBA025 is the 24/48 VDC counterpart of the 115 VAC / 125 VDC BBA105. The signal function is similar, but the block-power requirement differs. |
| 03 — What should an engineer check if one output is incorrect?
Check the configured output value, field load, wiring, output range and feedback condition. The block can report underrange, overrange and feedback errors. |
04 — Can the output circuits be treated as six unrelated power supplies?
No. The six output circuits are electrically common to each other and to the BSM output, so the existing field design must be preserved. |
| 05 — What makes the output-load value important during procurement?
The specified current application supports loads from 0 to 850 Ω. Confirming the field load helps prevent an apparently correct replacement from behaving incorrectly after installation. |
06 — What is the operational risk of leaving a failed output block in service?
A failed analog command can affect valves, actuators or other current-controlled devices, potentially interrupting process control. |
