GE IC200CHS022P Compact Box-Style Vertical I/O Carrier

IC200CHS022P is a compact box-style carrier designed to provide the physical mounting, backplane communication path and field-wiring interface for one VersaMax I/O module.

The I/O module mounts vertically, perpendicular to the DIN rail. The carrier combines 36 IEC box-style terminals, carrier-to-carrier backplane connectors, module keying and a built-in wiring-card holder into one compact installation platform.

The carrier provides 36 IEC box-style terminals arranged for field wiring. The terminals are labeled across the A and B terminal positions.

The carrier provides the mechanical and electrical interface for one VersaMax I/O module, with the module mounted vertically on the carrier.

Carrier-to-carrier mating connectors provide the backplane connection without requiring additional cables or tools for the carrier-to-carrier interface.

Each terminal accepts one solid or stranded copper wire from AWG #14 to AWG #22, or two wires up to AWG #18. The carrier accommodates up to 2 A per point and up to 8 A at each power or ground connection.

The carrier supports a 7.5 × 35 mm DIN rail. The DIN rail must be electrically grounded for EMC protection. For applications requiring maximum resistance to mechanical vibration and shock, panel mounting is also required.

The functional input, output or mixed I/O electronics are installed directly onto the carrier.
