The PR6423 is an 8 mm eddy current sensor intended for contactless measurement on conductive targets. The design is used within machinery monitoring chains where the sensor works with an appropriate converter.

The PR6423 platform is suited to critical rotating machinery such as steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, compressors, gearboxes, pumps and fans.

Mechanical and chemical environment: the sensor uses a stainless-steel case, PEEK sensor tip, PTFE cable and nickel-plated brass connector. The specified sensor construction is resistant to water, steam, natural gas, helium, bearing oils, gasoline, benzol, nitric acid and listed chlorinated compounds at room temperature.

For accurate relative-distance measurement, the sensor and converter are adjusted together. The standard measuring target is 42 CrMo 4 / SAE 4140; alternative conductive target materials can require corresponding adjustment.
