The Bently Nevada 9200 Seismoprobe is a two-wire velocity transducer based on moving-coil technology. It is designed to measure absolute vibration of bearing housings, machine casings and structures.

The moving-coil construction produces a voltage directly proportional to vibration velocity. Because the transducer does not require external power, the 9200 can be used for continuous monitoring installations as well as periodic measurements with suitable test or diagnostic instruments.

For the exact 9200-01-02-02-00 configuration, the ordering sequence combines a 0 ±2.5° mounting-angle calibration with a 4.5 Hz minimum operating frequency, a side-mounted connector, a circular 1/4-28 UNF stud mounting base and a no-approval option.

04 / INSTALLATION ENVELOPE
Mechanical
and environmental
parameters
The 9200 is designed as a casing-mounted velocity measurement device. Installation quality affects amplitude and frequency response, so the mounting point and mechanical interface should be matched carefully.
Operating / storage temperature -29°C to +121°C
Relative humidity Up to 95%, noncondensing
Maximum use altitude 2000 m / 6,561 ft
Case material Anodized aluminum A204
9200 gasket Neoprene
Typical diameter 41 mm / 1.6 in
Typical height 102 mm / 4 in, depending on connector option
Installation focus
The sensor should be mounted on the bearing housing or machine casing at a location that transmits meaningful machine vibration. Improper installation can reduce amplitude or frequency response or produce signals that do not represent actual machine vibration.

Why the full part number matters
The 9200 family contains several mounting-angle, connector, mounting-base and approval combinations. A replacement should therefore be matched by the complete suffix rather than by the family name alone.

07 / BUYER QUESTIONS
9200-01-02-02-00 / Selection FAQ
Q1. Why is the 4.5 Hz option important when selecting 9200-01-02-02-00?
The 01 configuration specifies a minimum operating frequency of 4.5 Hz (270 cpm), with the 0 ±2.5° mounting-angle option. This makes the suffix important when the measurement point requires the lower-frequency configuration rather than the 10 Hz or 15 Hz alternatives available within the 9200 family.
Q2. What mechanical detail should be checked before replacing 9200-01-02-02-00?
The mounting-base option is 02, which specifies a circular base with a 1/4-28 UNF stud. A replacement should therefore be checked against the existing mounting interface rather than selecting a 9200 by family name alone.
Q3. Does 9200-01-02-02-00 require an external power supply at the transducer?
No. The 9200 uses a two-wire moving-coil design and does not require external power for the transducer itself. Its output voltage is directly proportional to vibration velocity, which also makes the Seismoprobe suitable for periodic measurements with appropriate diagnostic equipment.
Q4. Can 9200-01-02-02-00 be selected for a side-access installation?
Yes. The second field, 02, is the Side Mount connector option for the 9200 ordering structure. This should be matched to the physical cable and connector orientation required by the installation.
Q5. When should 9200-01-02-02-00 be distinguished from the 74712 family?
The main distinction is environmental temperature capability. The 9200 is specified for -29°C to +121°C, while the 74712 is the high-temperature version of the 9200 and is specified for -29°C to +204°C. If the installation temperature exceeds the 9200 range, the high-temperature family must be evaluated instead.
