WHEN REPLACEMENT BECOMES CRITICAL

Unstable output can remove a protection input

Maintenance teams may investigate the Proximitor sensor when gap voltage becomes unstable, output is fixed or intermittent, the monitor channel reports Not OK, or nearby radio-frequency activity affects a damaged or incorrectly installed measurement path.
Loss of a dependable vibration, axial-position or phase-reference signal may delay machine startup, reduce protection coverage and extend an unplanned shutdown.

01 How do I know whether the 90 mounting option matches my panel?
Option 90 is the 9.0-meter panel-mount version. Compare the installed mounting pattern, available clearance and complete code on the existing sensor. DIN-rail installations normally use a different mounting suffix.
02 Can this sensor be used when the probe and cable do not total 9.0 meters?
No. The probe and extension cable must total 9.0 meters for this configuration. An incorrect electrical length can change scale factor, linearity and gap behavior.
03 Can it directly replace a 7200-series 11 mm or 14 mm system?
A conversion requires replacement of the probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensor with 3300 XL 11 mm components. The monitoring channel may also require an update or modification.
04 Is the standard AISI 4140 calibration suitable for every target material?
The standard sensor is calibrated for AISI 4140 steel. A different conductive target material may change the output scale and linear behavior, so the actual target material should be confirmed before ordering.
05 What should I send to receive an accurate price and compatibility check?
Submit the full part number, quantity, destination, required date and machine or system. Clear photos of the installed probe, extension cable, Proximitor sensor and monitor channel can help prevent a configuration mismatch.
