Yes. Each channel is configured independently, so the interface and communication settings must be matched to its connected device.
Q2 What should be supplied for compatibility checking?
Provide the controller catalog number, firmware level, 1769 bank arrangement, available power budget and the serial device electrical interface.
Q3 Is this an Ethernet communication module?
No. It handles ASCII data through RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial connections; it does not add an Ethernet port.
