16-Point 24V DC Sinking or Sourcing Digital Input Module
The 1762-IQ16 adds sixteen 24V DC inputs to a compatible MicroLogix expansion system. Its inputs are arranged as two isolated groups: points 0...7 and points 8...15, each with its own common. Bit positions 0...15 correspond directly to input terminals 0...15 in the input word.

Can 1762-IQ16 accept both sinking and sourcing field devices?
Yes, when the commons and supply polarity are wired for the selected current direction.		 Are all 16 points of 1762-IQ16 in one common group?
No. Inputs 0...7 and inputs 8...15 form two separately grouped sections.
Can 1762-IQ16 operate at 30V DC across the full temperature range?
No. The permitted upper voltage is reduced to 26.4V DC under the higher-temperature derating condition.		 How is 1762-IQ16 addressed in a MicroLogix expansion system?
Expansion I/O starts at slot 1, and bits 0...15 map to field inputs 0...15.
