The Allen-Bradley 1746-OV32 is an SLC500 High-density Discrete output module. This module supports sink wiring configuration and delivers a nominal voltage rating of 24VDC with applicable voltage range of 5-50VDC. Each channel provides an output current rating of 0.50A at 30 Deg. Celsius and 0.25 A at 60 Deg. Celsius. The surge current per channel is 1.0A for 10 ms at 30° C which may be repeated every One (1) second. When operated at 60 Deg. Celsius, the surge current remains the same however, the repeatability is increased to Two (2) second interval per surge. |

The 1746-OV32 has Two (2) output groups with each group having Sixteen (16) outputs each. This module occupies One (1) slot of the host SLC500 chassis and may be installed as local and remote I/O module. It has a current draw of 0.190A @ 5VDC with isolation voltage from backplane of 1500VAC for 1 minute. |

During OFF to ON transition, the module exhibits 0.1 ms delay while 1.0 ms delay is expected during ON to OFF transition. It does not come with an electronic protection therefore, external electronic fusing is recommended. |

The module’s heat dissipation ratings include 0.172 W per channel, minimum total heat dissipation of 0.95 W and maximum heat dissipation of 6.45 W. |

Wiring options are available for High-density output modules, including the 1746-OV32. Provided with the module is a 40-pin female connector and crimp type pins. This wiring method is the default method provided with the use of the 1746-NC3 wiring connector. Additionally, the 1746-OV32 may be wired using the Allen-Bradley 1492 wiring system. This option wiring method utilizes 1492-CABLExx and 1492-IFM40xx DIN rail mountable terminal block. This method allows external I/O to be mounted conveniently and easily. |

The 1746-OV32 module also has a continuous current per module of 8 A at 0-60 Deg. Celsius and continuous currents per point of 0.50 A at 30 Deg. Celsius and 0.25 A at 60 Deg. Celsius. The surge current per point for 10 ms of the 1746-OV32 module is 1 A each at both 30 Deg. Celsius. and 60 Deg. Celsius. It has a thermal dissipation that ranges from a minimum of 2.26 W to a maximum of 4.8 W. The 1746-OV32 module is suitable for high density, low current DC output applications, as well as high current applications. It also has a step response of 60 ms in and 2.5 ms out. |

1、The V dc and dc Com pins on the 1746-OV32 output module are isolated between the two groups and the two V dc and two dc Com pins in each group are connected internally. |
|
2、Both dc Com pins must be connected to the dc power source if current for a common group is expected to exceed 2 amps. To maintain group isolation provided by 32-point I/O modules, use a 1492 terminal block that provides group isolation. |
