TRICONEX 4409 SMM is the high-performance Safety Manager Module at the heart of every Tricon v10 TMR system. Executing SIL 3 safety logic in triple-modular-redundant architecture, the module delivers 2oo3 voting on every cycle and completes safety tasks in <10 ms. Dual on-board Ethernet ports provide seamless integration with HMI, AMS and DCS layers, while 1 ms sequence-of-events (SOE) logging gives forensic resolution for root-cause analysis. The unit is delivered with 32 MB battery-backed SRAM, allowing >2 000 I/O points to be scanned and stored without external memory. Conformal-coated PCBs and locking euro-card guides guarantee uninterrupted operation under 5 g vibration, 30 g shock and corrosive ISA G3 atmospheres typical of offshore, LNG and chemical plants. Front-access thumb-wheel and captive screws enable hot-replacement in under 60 seconds, eliminating spurious trips during proof-test or expansion. Certified by TÜV to IEC 61508 SIL 3 and IEC 61131-6, 4409 SMM is the drop-in upgrade that future-proofs any safety-instrumented function.
