Description

The Siemens 6ES7416-5HS06-0AB0 is the CPU 416-5H PN/DP, the fastest and most expandable high-availability processor in the S7-400H family. Built for process plants, power stations and oil & gas lines that are expected to run 24/7, this CPU keeps your line moving even if one rack, cable or power supply fails. All redundancy logic is handled inside the module, so you get bumpless switch-over without extra programming. With 32 MB work memory, 2 x 1 GB Ethernet, redundant PROFIBUS and PROFINET on board, it is ready for large I/O counts, safety devices and remote I/O straight from the box.

*Fault-tolerant by design – two CPUs sync automatically; switch-over in milliseconds with no lost I/O or process upset (IEC 61508 SIL 3 compliant).

*Big memory, fast scan – 32 MB RAM for program and data; 0.04 µs per bit operation keeps reaction times short even with 12 k+ I/O.

*Built-in redundancy for fieldbuses – dual PROFINET (IRT) and PROFIBUS DP masters on each CPU eliminate separate communication modules and wiring cost.

*Hot repair & firmware updates – replace modules or upgrade firmware while the line is running; no special tools, no stop of production.
