Model F3238 is the HIMA HIMatrix fail-safe 24 VDC input slice that drops straight onto any SIL3 HIMatrix rack. Each of its eight channels is individually configurable as sink or source, hardware cross-checked and filtered from 1 ms to 20 ms, so you can land field contacts or proximity switches directly—no interposing relays, no extra marshalling. Dual internal comparators give 1oo2D architecture inside the slice, keeping diagnostic coverage above 90 % and maintaining SIL3 even in single-channel mode. Power, addressing and the safety bus all come from the back-plane, so adding eight new safety inputs is literally a ten-second click-in job. Wide -20 °C … +60 °C rating, hot-swap capability and bright channel LEDs make F3238 the fastest way to expand a safety system without touching the wiring drawings.
