16 Digital Outputs: Form-C relays 8 A @ 250 Vac/dc, trip-rated, NO/NC selectable; arc-suppression built-in for inductive loads.
Hot-Swap Plug-In: 100 × 80 × 20 mm, 270 g; slides into any UR 6U chassis, auto-detected <5 s, no tools or re-wiring.
Wide-Range Power: 24-250 Vdc / 48-250 Vac on same terminals; draws <3 W, hold-up 20 ms, works from battery or UPS.
Fast Event Capture: 1 ms resolution across all channels; 1024-event FIFO with IRIG-B time-sync for post-fault analysis.
Hardened for Industry: –40…+70 °C, conformal-coated PCB, 5 g vibration, 50 g shock; IP20 front, meets IEEE C37.90 & IEC 60255.

Application

Feeder protection cubicle: 16 DI monitor breaker status, 16 DO trip and close coils; interlocking logic prevents paralleling of two sources.
Transformer bay: DI reads Buchholz and winding-temp contacts, DO drives HV tap-changer and cooler fans—no extra relays needed.
Bus-bar blocking scheme: fast 1 ms DI senses fault, DO sends blocking signal over fiber to remote end in 2 ms, avoids over-trip.
Load-shedding controller: DI counts under-frequency pulses, DO sheds non-critical motors in <50 ms during grid collapse.
Retrofit of legacy UR-6A/6C modules: identical slot and wiring; doubles I/O density so older turbine panels meet modern NERC PRC-005-6 requirements without new chassis.
