Application

Generator ground-fault & metering: 5 CT cores measure neutral, earthing-resistor and stator currents; 50G/51G element trips field breaker on earth fault.
Transformer restricted earth-fault: high-impedance REF scheme uses 5 CT inputs, detects 5 % winding fault within 15 ms, prevents core damage.
Feeder metering & over-current: plugs into UR relay to provide kW, kVAR, PF and 50/51 protection on 6.6 kV motor feeders.
Capacitor-bank unbalance: star-point CT input detects internal unit failures, prevents tank rupture in large utility banks.
Retrofit of obsolete 5C cards in UR-1H/UR-6H racks: identical slot & wiring footprint allows 15 % higher accuracy upgrade without new chassis—ideal for 20-year-old turbine control rooms upgrading to SIL-rated standards.
