FANUC IC220PBI001 Network Interface Unit
FANUC IC220PBI001 is a compact PROFIBUS-DP slave adapter that links any PIC220 modular I/O station to CNC, PLC or motion controllers at up to 12 Mbps. Plugged directly onto the left end of the I/O slice row, the unit auto-bauds from 9.6 kbps to 12 Mbps and configures the entire slice array as one consistent 244-byte input / 244-byte output PROFIBUS mapping—no GSD editing required. Galvanically isolated 24 VDC power and short-circuit-proof electronics survive voltage dips common on shop floors, while the snap-action DIN-rail foot and removable 3-pin power connector cut replacement time below one minute. With a total weight of only 2 kg and an IP20 enclosure rated for –20…+60 °C, IC220PBI001 is the lightweight, vibration-resistant fieldbus bridge that turns standalone PIC220 slices into a fully integrated PROFIBUS node.
