A programmable Unidrive SP Solutions Module that adds a dedicated second processor for application-specific DPL programs, real-time sequencing, motion functions, drive-to-drive networking and auxiliary digital I/O. It is powered by the compatible host drive.

Can Emerson SM-APPLICATIONS be installed without the original DPL program?
The module can be fitted, but it cannot reproduce the machine-specific application until the correct DPL program and associated drive parameters are restored.

Is Emerson SM-APPLICATIONS interchangeable with SM-Applications Lite or Plus?
No automatic interchange should be assumed. Compare CTNet, RS485, digital I/O, motion functions, memory needs and the compiled project target.

Unidrive SP maps the module to menu 15, 16 or 17 according to its slot. The SYPT project and inter-option links must preserve that relationship.

Save the DPL project, compiled program, drive parameter set, menu 18 to 20 values, CTNet node settings, serial parameters and required RAM data.

What does Loading mean after fitting Emerson SM-APPLICATIONS?
During first installation the second processor can synchronize its parameter database with the host drive. Persistent loading or option trips must be resolved before motion is enabled.

Verify program auto-run, task scheduling, CTNet traffic, RS485 communication, digital I/O, trip handling, synchronized motion and all machine interlocks.
