MMS 6310 is a dual-channel key-pulse monitoring module within the MMS 6000 machine monitoring family. Monitoring Concept
The MMS 6310 provides two key-pulse channels for the MMS 6000 machine monitoring architecture. The module is intended for applications where a reliable rotational reference pulse is required by other monitoring functions.
The module supports compatible eddy-current transducer arrangements and provides key-pulse signals through the MMS 6000 system connection. Its two-channel design allows two independent key-pulse inputs to be integrated into the monitoring architecture.

It is appropriate when the replacement requirement is centered on key-pulse acquisition and distribution to compatible monitoring functions. If rotational speed measurement is also required directly from the module, MMS 6312 should be evaluated separately because its function combines rotational speed and key pulse.
Q2. What should be verified before ordering MMS 6310 as a replacement for an installed module?
Verify the existing MMS 6000 rack arrangement, channel count, transducer type, wiring, RS485 bus configuration and supply arrangement. The replacement should also match the intended key-pulse function rather than simply matching the physical card format.
